About this site

A single-purpose calculator for what a Whatnot sale actually pays. No account, no newsletter, no pitch.

Why it exists

Search for a Whatnot fee calculator and you will find several. Read two of them side by side and you will find they disagree, usually about the same rate in the same country. The reason is not malice. Most of those pages were generated in bulk and nobody has gone back to them since the rates changed.

The other thing they tend to leave out is the part that actually matters: Whatnot charges its commission on the item price, and its processing fee on the buyer's total. Two fees, two different bases. Most pages quote a single combined percentage and move on, which produces an answer that is wrong by a variable amount.

So this site does three things and nothing else. It calculates, it names the base every fee is charged on, and it says when the numbers were last checked.

Where the numbers come from

Rates are read from Whatnot's published seller fee schedule. Each page that quotes a rate carries the date it was checked, and the calculations are verified against Whatnot's own worked example: a $50 item with a $58.70 total order value producing $4.00 commission and $2.00 processing. If that check stops matching, the page is out of date and should be treated that way.

Rates change without much notice. Nothing here is a substitute for opening the official fee page for the category you sell in, and nothing here is a substitute for reading your own payout statement.

What this is not

Nothing you type is stored

The calculator runs entirely in your browser. The prices and costs you enter are never sent anywhere, not to this site and not to any third party. There is no account to create and no data to delete.

If a number is wrong

Corrections are welcome and get fixed quickly. Email contact@sellersfees.com with the page, the rate you believe is correct, and where you saw it. A link to the official page is enough.

Who runs it

One person, who sells on Whatnot and got tired of doing this arithmetic on a phone calculator between lots. The site is maintained as a side project. It carries no advertising network beyond standard display ads, and the tool is free and is not going to be put behind a login.
